As bloggers, we get a lot of emails from people sending through products. This is a fantastic way to find great, new, fresh products that are hard to find whilst browsing. Today was one of those days when this product tickled my fancy.
Designed by Vibeke Fonnesberg Schmidt the BAU (meaning 'construction' in German) Pendant Lamp by Normann Copenhagen is a striking and sculptural lampshade that combines geometric shapes, composition and creativity that suits minimal interiors to bold, daring homes.
Immediately I was reminded of Piet Mondrian's simple primary colours and could absolutely imagine this pendant in a stark, white room as a centrepiece. I'm almost salivating at the thought.
Based on interlocking geometric wooden circles, sticking out in all directions, the immediate pattern of the BAU Pendant Lamp is broken up by the discs' colours, sizes and off-centre linkages, making the lamp living and organic in its expression.
Available for the ever-so-lovely Bodie and Fou shop, the lamp is priced at £164... a bargain if you ask me for something that you will keep forever and make your friends green with envy.
