I'm very much hoping that my blog post this week featuring beautiful (and very colourful!) floral etchings from artist Jenny Devereux will brighten up your day...after all the gloomy weather we've been having lately in the UK.
As for a little bit more information about Jenny...
She's based in south west Cornwall, where she lives in an 18th century farmhouse.
From her studio, where she has a wonderful view of the Atlantic Ocean, she creates and supplies her floral etchings to collectors throughout Europe, America and the Far East.
Jenny draws inspiration for her work from the lovely flowers in her garden, which change throughout the seasons.
She collects them from her garden, takes them back to her studio and places them in patterned vases and pots. Then she'll do initial drawings and watercolours, prior to creating her etchings.
Jenny, who's self-taught, has a very unique etching style which she's developed over the years. And each of her designs is hand-printed in limited editions of 250 or less.
The etchings are also finished with a variety of gesso, pastel, gold leaf and watercolour to create a truly individual work of art.
If you'd like to see some more of Jenny's work, please do pop over to her website.
