As soon as I set eyes on Daisy Skye's colourful floral-inspired paintings, I knew that they would be perfect to feature on the Heart Home blog...especially for UK readers who've been suffering very un-summer-like weather lately.
Personally, I feel that you can only be uplifted when viewing Daisy's 'feel good' artwork and I hope that they add a little bit of sunshine to your day...
All her paintings are created using gloss paint on aluminium. The bright colours she uses and the reflective nature of the paintings really capture the vibrancy of nature.
She features daisies, roses, daffodils, tulips and gerberas. And I love the cheerfulness and contemporary style of her work.
Below are some more of Daisy's paintings...
As for a little bit of background about Daisy...
She attained a BA Honours degree in Fine Art at the Surrey Institute of Art and Design.
She is a contemporary artist, who's inspired by nature. And she creates original artwork, paintings and prints with everyday materials and modern techniques.
As well as her Flower paintings, she also has a collection of Park Life paintings, including St James Park and Greenwich Park.
Last weekend, she exhibited her work at the Urban Art Fair in Brixton in London along with over one hundred and fifty photographers, printers and painters.
