Designed In Hackney

Here at Home Home we are all about promoting British design so Dezeen's  new initiative is right up our street! To celebrate the incredible diversity of design talent in the east London borough of Hackney, Dezeen has launched Designed in Hackney, which will showcase world-class architecture and design created in the borough. Hackney is one of the five host boroughs for the London 2012 Olympic Games. Each day until the games this summer, Dezeen will publish buildings, interiors and objects that have been designed in Hackney, creating a unique guide to the borough’s rich and diverse design community.

Yet another fantastic initiative from Dezeen!

A firm favourite of the Heart Home team, Hackney designer Lee Broom.  These crystal light bulbs will be launching at Ventura Lambrate in Milan this week.

Ian McIntyre and his pottery collection for furniture brand Another Country at his Hoxton studio.

Interior design brand House of Hackney, are also based in the borough hence their name.

Uniform Wares is also based in Hackney.
