Finding furniture for the home that doesn't cost the earth is a tricky task. You really need to do your research to find great, independent retailers that have done the hard work for you. This is why lots of us end up at the big yellow and blue warehouse eating Swedish hot dogs to compensate for the lack of excitement that the experience brings us.
So, the good news is that I found a great affordable website, Fashion for Home, with focuses on delivering good quality, well-designed products for less. Hurray! There are lots of sites that suggest that they do this, and I guess we all have our favourites.
It didn't take me very long to find lots of things that I wanted (mmmmm, Dowel Armchair) and start thinking about other ways that I could make use of this site whilst my purse strings are a little tightened.
Now, I'm quite a stickler for trying to source products that are not environmental catastrophes and I have to admit I always thought that Fashion For Home was a 'pile it high, sell it cheap' company that didn't care about the environment so in my usual footer browsing looking for the company information I stumbled across their policy and I was pleasantly surprised at how in depth it went. Okay, I'm sold, I need that Dowel armchair now. Hrmmm, green or blue?
