This week, I'm featuring floral-inspired artwork by printmaker and artist Vicky Oldfield.
Based in Surrey, Vicky creates her images using collagraphy which is a form of printmaking.
Her prints are taken from plates which have been collaged with a variety of materials including fabric, string, card, paper and sand.
The plates are sealed, inked up and then printed on to damp paper using an etching press.
Here are some more examples of her work...
As for Vicky's background, she attained a BA Hons in Design at Staffordshire University. Then she went on to study advanced printmaking at Richmond School of Art.
She has worked as a studio designer for Triodes International in Paris and Crown Wallcoverings in London.
In recent years, she has worked as a freelance designer/illustrator. Her clients include Villeroy & Boch, Dorma, Crown, The British Museum, Wedgwood, Art Crazy and Papercraft magazines.
For the last two years running, Vicky's work has been selected to appear in The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.
She has also exhibited at The Royal Society Of British Artists Annual Show, Bite at The Mall Galleries in London and The Marle Gallery in Axminster.
