Heart Home was in New York last week for Modenus' BlogTour, and one of the highlights of the trip (there were many!) was the first ever #ModenusMyCity tour, taking in the best interiors stores in SoHo, led by ABCD Designs' Amy Beth Cupp Dragoo.
Amy is an artist, designer and stylist who splits her time between New York City and the hills of Litchfield County. Her career has been a mélange of creative endeavors, working in event planning, interior design, window display, and photo styling, so she was definitely the perfect choice to lead a walking tour of one of New York's most creative areas.
"Keeping a group of 18 curious design bloggers on point for an entire afternoon tour was a bit like herding cats, " she says, "everyones heads were turned a different direction, photos were snapped and many were walking the streets of Soho looking up towards the sky – enjoying the architecture of the cast iron buildings above."
Indeed, there was so much to see! Amy's tour was wonderfully curated, taking in a delightful mix of classic Americana, girly chic, sleek utilitarian and eclectic antiques. Here are a few visual snapshots of my favourite stops along the way...
The New Traditionalists, 524 Broadway at Spring, 2nd Floor
Canvas, 199 Lafayette St.
Michele Varian, 27 Howard St.
Ochre, 462 Broome St. between Mercer and Green

Heart Home also visited Paula Rubenstein Antiques (65 Spring St.), Calypso Home (407 Broome St.), Clic Gallery (255 Centre St.), Hästens (75 Grand Street) and Flair (88 Grand St.) on ABCD Designs' #ModenusMyCity SoHo tour
