Go Modern has joined forces with a new furniture brand called Mogg (no – not the cat!) and we thought the designs so fresh and new we thought we'd share.
There's something magical about four-poster beds, and the ultra modern 'Casetta In Canada' four poster bed from Nathan Yong is a beautifully simple, clean version of this traditional favourite. It's made in solid Ash wood and lacquered in pure white in an open pore finish, so the texture of the wood is visible, but not the colour of the wood.
These stools are beautifully crafted pieces in Arabesque Carrara marble with a seat in Farsena stone. Designed for Mogg by Raimondi Malerba, they also work wonderfully as side tables.
Part of the quirky Zio Tom collection, this unusual cupboard by Claudio Bitett has doors & sides made from planks of old reclaimed larch with a beautiful silvery patina. Contrasting with the larch, the interior & top of the cupboard is matt lacquered in a choice of 12 RAL colours, or to order.
The original & quirky Bice mirror has magnetic metal butterflies, which double as hooks, perfect for small items like jewellery. Each mirror includes 2 large and 3 small butterflies cast in nickel brass, in mixed finishes, and there is an option to buy extra butterflies in sets of six, which can be screwed into the wall or next to the mirror as shown here.
Mogg is an Italian company formed last year by architect Nicola Galbiati, working with a team of artists, designers and architects to create an eclectic collection of furniture. Many of his designers are well-known in the art world and, as Galbiati puts it, “are partners with vision - crazy dreamers” with a philosophy of “creating pieces that limit the boundaries between art and design”.
