Former graphic designer, Marianne Diemer, began her career in advertising and package design eventually establishing Rouge du Rhin during 1995. She is interested in simplicity and purity of lines in home décor which she expresses through her bold prints and colours.
When asked why she named her new company 'Rouge du Rhin, she replied that "the colour Rouge du Rhin was obtained through the natural dye of the rose madder plant. These dyes were particularly used by the printers and dyers of the Alsace region of France".
You can buy most of the collection from the wonderful UK retailer Theo Theo and start from £55 including cushion. See the Rouge du Rhin collection.
