Interior design is a serious business: where we put the sofa, what colour we paint the walls - it all matters. Some might consider it a frivolous thing, a preoccupation with cushions, curtains. the storage of DVDs and the correct position of ornaments somehow unimportant. Not a bit of it. At its best, the British home - whether a classic terrace house, a 1930s semi or a stately home - can be a classic design, even a work of art, both outside and in.
In the BBC TWO television series, The Great Interior Design Challenge, 24 amateurs with a passion and flair for interior compete against one another to prove their design ability. Now it’s your turn. This book will show you how to work with, or creatively against, the architectural style of your home, how to choose the right paint colours, how to sand wooden floorboards - all the practical and creative things. But, most importantly of all, it will help you get out of the rut. It will finally allow your home - and you - to be who you really want to be. And - even better - you can finally get that dodgy shelving system fixed, once and for all.
We are giving away two copies of the book, The Great Interior Design challenge. For a chance to win a a copy please fill the form below. Good luck!
