Commemorate Her Royal Highness’ 90th birthday this summer with an afternoon tea fit for a Queen at The Ampersand Hotel. As the longest reigning monarch in British history, her Majesty is being honoured with a dedicated afternoon tea featuring a number of suitably regal accoutrement, just a stone’s throw from Kensington Palace.
The sweet celebration, carefully hand prepared by pastry chef Mi Kyung Jeong, includes rose and raspberry open macaroons, a blackberry and violet crown with golden decorations, chocolate and mandarin mousse and lemonade jelly with blueberry, cucumber and mint foam.
The savoury sandwich offering will feature decadent roast beef with truffle mayonnaise on granary bread, coronation chicken on walnut and raisin bread, cheddar cheese with pickle on milk bread and smoked salmon with dill cream cheese on brown bread.
A selection of traditional scones, creams and jams will also be available.
The afternoon tea will be available from 30 May to 19 June 2016, for £32.50 per person, or £45.50 with a glass of Champagne.
