Loved throughout Scandinavia for its understated elegance and high level of quality, the Hammershøi homeware range by Danish ceramic specialist Kähler is inspired by the works of the artist Svend Hammershøi, who worked in the Kähler workshop in the early 20th century and was a pivotal figure in the company’s artistic heritage.
With a sculptural design and modern look the Hammershøi vases and flowerpots reflect the current taste for bringing nature into the home, ideal for bringing spring bulbs, and green plants into the home in true spring style. The Hammershøi vases and candleholders are available in multiple colour ways to suit the home (available now), and the new Flowerpots come in four sizes and in glazed grey or unglazed cream stoneware (available from mid-March). For a bolder look, the Hammershøi floor vase is being released mid-April, the sculptural piece measured 50cm in height and is a statement piece for the home.
The Hammershøi range also features an award-winning tableware collection, which has been expanded with the Coffee & Cake range for SS18. A collection of items centred around the traditions of an afternoon tea and also includes a thermos jug and cup – ideal for taking outside for summer dining.
Prices start from £16, available from Skandium, Heals or the full collection is available via www.kahlerdesign.com.
