The magazine opens with ‘Kaleidoscope’ a montage of images covering everything editor Katie Treggiden saw at the four design festivals covered. Next, some of those designs are explored in more detail in interviews, and features that delve into the making process and articles about the exhibitions they were seen at. Finally in ‘Opinion,’ long form essays offer context, insight and analysis, drawing on the main themes that came out of the four shows.
“Design has a tremendous power to make people’s lives better,” says Katie. “New designers still believe in the impossible – a crucial trait if design is going to help solve the problems, large and small, that we face today. Fiera Magazine exists to make sure their ideas reach a wider audience.”
And definitely the next best thing to actually being there.
