Add a Pop of Colour in the Kitchen

Bright pops of colour are very on-trend this year and when we spotted this kitchen by Harvey Jones we were super inspired. A fairly conventional shaker kitchen has been completely transformed by this bright tangerine larder.

Bursts of bright shades work extremely well in plain kitchen designs, and this one is paired with patterned fabric blinds to give it a 70’s feel, while still keeping a contemporary look. By keeping the kitchen accessories and appliances in muted colours it avoids a jarring appearance, and instead blends perfectly to create a stylish room.

Bold statements however are not for everyone. If colour confidence isn’t your thing, you could still introduce contrast to neutral kitchen cabinets by adding hints of colour with bar stools, soft furnishings or accessories.

Tangerine orange is making a big impact in the kitchen as homeowners are becoming increasingly daring with their colour choices. Make sure you consider your space before you choose your paint colour – kitchens with lots of light can take a bolder, darker colour than a more enclosed room where bright white cabinets will help create the illusion of a bigger space” Melissa Klink, Head of Design at Harvey Jones.

We say, go bold or go home.
