Floral-inspired prints from Ruth Green Design

Ruth Green Designs

Last month, when I visited the Pulse trade fair in London, I came across the beautiful work of Ruth Green.

And as Ruth's designs are inspired by flora and fauna of the British countryside, I thought I'd share a selection of them with your today...

They're all screen-printed by hand in her studio in Birmingham, with each print being hand signed.

Here are some more of Ruth's designs...

A little bit of background about Ruth...

She studied a Bachelor of Arts in Printed Textiles at Liverpool John Moores University, followed by a Master of Arts in Printed Textiles at University of Central England.

Since 1995, she has been creating original prints in small editions and also creates designs for licensing and illustration.  And her clients include IKEA, TeNeues, Marks & Spencer and Woodmansterne.

Last year, Tate Publishing produced Ruth's first illustrated book for children called 'Noisy Neighbours'.

Her work has appeared in 'Elle Decoration' magazine and the book 'Print & Pattern 2'.

I love the quirky retro feel of Ruth's prints...and think they would be perfect to brighten up a child's bedroom or playroom.

If you'd like to keep up-to-date with Ruth's news, she has a blog.

P.S. She also has other products available on notonthehighstreet.
