Off the Wall – Wallpaper for Boys

I have a well-documented love of lighting and vintage here on hearthome but in recent months my new sourcing obsession has been nursery furniture and accessories. One of the most transformative and accessible items for a nursery is wallpaper. If you’re currently looking for kids products there has never been so much choice available at all budgets. In sourcing wallpaper specifically for children’s rooms, whether you favour modern or retro there are designs galore to choose from.

One of my all time favourites is Paperboy  D'ya-think-e-saurus' wallpaper, which I fell in love with when I saw it 2-3 years ago at 100% design. The slightly scary T-Rex is at home here along side the friendlier Diplodocus. The colour ways available are sophisticated rather than whimsy and make a strong impact in a room.

In this fantastic year of showcasing London and Great Britain to the world Lizzie Allen’s  Red buses and Black cabs is a great shot of UK flavour.  The icon shapes of the routemaster bus and the London cab instantly recognizable and charming.

Whilst this might be a bit much for a whole room this fantastic photographic wallpaper by Studio Ditte  would make a punchy statement wall in a boys (or girls) room. I would have wanted this as a child to go with my collection of matchbox cars.

Next week something for the girls.
