Kirstie Allsopp launches The Handmade Fair, which will take place in the beautiful historic park of Hampton Court Palace from 19th to 21st September 2014.

Having spearheaded Britain's craft revolution for the last 5 years, Kirstie Allsopp has gathered together the best experts in the land to create a learning experience for those passionate about creating bespoke craft products, making The Handmade Fair the first and only event to put making AND learning at the heart of the show.

This fantastic day out will give every visitor the opportunity to make something in one of our craft workshops, listen to the grand masters of handmade products in the Super Theatre, enjoy great food in the palace gardens, and buy beautiful products from handpicked sellers.

"My hope is for The Handmade Fair to be a gathering of all the wonderful people I have had the huge privilege of working with over the years and many more. I want it to be a place where everyone can come to learn, be inspired and meet kindred spirits." Kirstie Allsopp

What's more exciting is that the team have  have decided to go for a Guinness World Record at the event. The plan is to break the record for the number of pompoms laid end to end. We all know how much Kirstie loves her pompoms but she can’t possibly make them all herself. So she is calling on the great British public to help her achieve #worldpomination. Simply make 3 pompoms, tie them together and attach your name, then drop it off at your local Hobbycraft store or bring them to the Fair this September. Hobbycraft stores across the country will also be holding pomination workshops during half term and the summer holidays for children to join in the fun.
