Introducing From Brighton With Love

Sally Evans set up “From Brighton With Love” in Summer 2012 when she moved to the city after many years living in London, where she worked in the design industry. Having studied fashion knitwear, Sally decided to return back to her love of making things and started her knitted home accessories business. Everything you see here is made lovingly by Sally herself.

'I am a real “colour and texture” person rather than someone who likes a lot of pattern. As a result a lot of my cushions incorporate 3d techniques, which gives texture to the items and makes them very tactile. Some of these are achieved by using the intarsia technique and others feature unique twists'

Her new Horizon range is inspired by the view of the sea from her very own frontdoor, there is frequently a broad stripe of lighter colour where the sea meets the sky. They come in  six colourways all inspired by Brighton and they range from the greens of the South Downs to the pinks of Candy Floss and Sticks of Rock that you buy on the Pier!

All the cushions fasten on the back with 5 shell buttons, which emphasises the seaside feel. The colours are influenced by Brighton and the surrounding area and are all made in natural yarns.

They totally give that summer vibe that one yearns all year round!

From Brighton With Love will be exhibiting at Tent London & SuperBrands, 18-21 September.

Introducing Jin Designs New Dog Collection

Sitting Dog has been created by Jinny Ursell, Graphic Designer and Founder of Jin Designs who launched a series of collections last June. With this new collection, she has created a design that can be appreciated by dog lovers who value quality and simplicity. Or anyone who would love a dog really, (me, me, me!). We love that the design is based on no particular breed, allowing dog fans to decide who they want Sitting Dog to be. Jin Designs Sitting Dog Mug

Jinny commented: “Sitting Dog is for people who love dogs and for those who appreciate clean and simple design. Sitting Dog is a reminder of dogs we’ve had in the past, a family pet perhaps, or a dog that has touched our hearts. Designed to make you smile, Sitting Dog is loyal, friendly and faithful and definitely one to be appreciated around the home!”

Jin Designs Sitting Dog Close Up

Available as a Mug - £12, Tea Towel - £10, Cushion - £27, and Note cards - £4.

Jin Designs Sitting Dog T-Towels

Sitting dog follows the highly successful Sitting Cat and Sleeping Cat collections launched last year.

I am passionate about designing beautiful, unique and individual home interior accessories that are not available anywhere else”  It is also important to her that collections are printed, designed and handmade in Great Britain as in her opinion too many products are now mass produced abroad and lack individuality.
